KEKW.stream

Frequently asked questions

KEKW Multistream FAQ.

Answers to common questions about how the viewer works, what it stores, why a stream may fail to load, and what the current product does and does not provide.

Do I need an account?

No. The current version of KEKW.stream does not require registration or login. Your active stream list and layout preferences are stored locally in your browser.

How many streams can I watch at once?

The current viewer supports up to eight streams in one grid. Your device, browser, network connection, and the source players still determine how practical it is to play that many videos simultaneously.

Which platforms are supported?

KEKW.stream currently supports Twitch channel URLs, Kick channel URLs, and YouTube links that identify a specific video or livestream. See the Supported platforms page for accepted formats.

Does KEKW.stream rebroadcast or restream the video?

No. The site creates embedded players and the source platform delivers the video directly to your browser. KEKW.stream does not ingest, transcode, relay, or host the livestream.

Why are streams muted when they first load?

Modern browsers commonly restrict autoplay with sound. Starting embedded players muted makes automatic playback more reliable. Audio behavior after that is controlled through the player and browser.

Why does a valid stream URL sometimes show an error?

The URL can be valid while the upstream content is unavailable for embedding. Common reasons include an offline channel, deleted video, private or members-only content, age or region restrictions, embedding disabled by the source, blocked third-party cookies, browser extensions, or a platform outage.

What does Reconnect all do?

Reconnect all reloads the embedded players currently on the page. It is useful after a laptop resumes from sleep, a mobile browser suspends the tab, or an embed becomes stale while the page is in the background.

What does Focus do?

Focus expands one stream across the grid width while keeping the rest of the streams available in the page. Use the same control again to return to the normal layout.

Can I rearrange the streams?

Yes. Drag a stream card by its toolbar to reorder the grid. The new order is saved automatically in local storage and reflected in the shareable URL.

What is the difference between Auto and manual layouts?

Auto chooses a grid based on stream count and screen size. Manual modes force one, two, three, or four columns. On narrow screens the browser may still need to collapse the layout so players remain usable.

Does Save layout create an account or cloud backup?

No. The current Save layout action only stores a local snapshot in the same browser. KEKW.stream already remembers the active stream list and layout automatically. Cloud-synced saved groups or named layouts are possible future features but are not part of the current product.

How does Share layout work?

The site builds a URL containing the platform and public stream identifiers in your current grid. Opening that link recreates the same stream set. Anyone with the link can see those identifiers.

What information does KEKW.stream store?

The current site stores stream identifiers, layout preferences, and local saved-layout data in browser localStorage. The streaming platforms themselves may receive normal browser, cookie, account, and viewing information when their embedded players load. See the Privacy Policy.

Why can my browser or device struggle with many streams?

Each player decodes video independently. Several HD livestreams can use substantial CPU, GPU, memory, and bandwidth. If playback becomes unstable, reduce the number of streams, lower quality in the source players where available, or use a smaller layout.

Is KEKW.stream affiliated with Twitch, Kick, or YouTube?

No. KEKW.stream is an independent viewer and is not sponsored, endorsed, or operated by those platforms. Their trademarks, players, and content remain subject to their respective terms and policies.
