Product guide
How KEKW Multistream works.
The viewer is designed around a short workflow: add supported livestream URLs, let the site build the grid, then arrange and share the layout you want. No KEKW.stream account is required for the current version.
Paste a supported stream link
Use a Twitch channel URL, Kick channel URL, or a supported YouTube watch, live, embed, or youtu.be link. KEKW.stream validates the address and extracts the channel or video identifier used by the platform player.
Add more perspectives
Repeat the process for additional streams. The current viewer supports up to eight players in one grid and prevents duplicate entries for the same platform and channel or video.
Choose the layout
Auto mode adapts the grid to the number of streams. You can also choose one, two, three, or four manual columns when you want predictable sizing.
Reorder or focus
Drag a stream card by its toolbar to change the order. Use the focus control to expand one stream across the grid while keeping the other streams available below it.
Share the current setup
The Share layout action builds a KEKW.stream URL containing the current stream list. Anyone opening that link can load the same set of supported channels or videos.
What happens when you add a stream
KEKW.stream does not fetch or relay the livestream itself. After the URL is validated, the page creates the appropriate embedded player for the selected platform. Twitch receives the current KEKW.stream hostname as its required parent domain, Kick is loaded through its player endpoint, and YouTube uses its embedded player URL.
Because the source platform delivers the video directly to your browser, stream quality, account prompts, geographic availability, ads shown inside the platform player, latency, and player errors remain controlled by that platform.
Automatic persistence
The viewer automatically remembers your active stream list and layout mode in browser local storage. This means a normal return visit on the same browser can restore the streams you were using even if you did not create an account.
The current interface also contains a Save layout action that stores a local snapshot for future expansion of saved-layout features. Automatic persistence remains the mechanism that keeps your active working grid available between visits.
Share links and privacy
When you use Share layout, the generated URL contains platform names and stream identifiers such as a Twitch channel name, Kick channel name, or YouTube video ID. It does not contain passwords or KEKW.stream account information because the current product does not require an account.
Before sharing: treat the generated URL as a description of your current grid. Anyone with the link can see which public stream identifiers were included.
Reconnect all
Browsers can suspend background tabs or embedded media, especially on mobile devices and laptops using aggressive power-saving features. KEKW.stream includes a Reconnect all control that reloads the currently embedded players if they become stale or stop updating.
The viewer also watches for a return from the background and can rebuild Twitch and Kick players after the page has been away long enough to make a stale embed likely.
Focus mode
Focus mode expands one stream across the full grid width. It is useful when one perspective becomes temporarily more important while you still want the other streams nearby. Press the focus control again to return that stream to the normal grid.
Manual versus automatic layouts
Auto mode is the best default for most users. The grid changes based on the stream count and includes special sizing for common desktop combinations. Manual column modes are useful when screen shape, browser zoom, or personal preference makes a fixed number of columns more comfortable.
On smaller screens the layout becomes more conservative so embedded players remain usable. A phone may show a single-column arrangement even when a wider desktop would use several columns.
Supported input types
- Twitch channel pages such as twitch.tv/channelname.
- Kick channel pages such as kick.com/channelname.
- YouTube watch URLs, live URLs, embed URLs, and youtu.be links containing a valid 11-character video ID.
See Supported platforms for platform-specific behavior and limitations.
When a stream will not load
A valid URL does not guarantee that the upstream player can play the content. The source stream may be offline, private, members-only, age-restricted, geographically restricted, embedding-disabled, or temporarily unavailable. Browser privacy extensions and blocked third-party cookies can also affect embedded services.
If a valid stream is behaving unexpectedly, use the stream embed troubleshooting guide.
